All members and their guests are required to comply with the Club’s dress
code. While Martha’s Vineyard is a very informal place to live and visit,
proper decorum must be observed in the Clubhouse and on the Golf Course
at all times. To avoid any embarrassment, it is the
member’s responsibility to inform guests of our dress regulations.
Blue denim, short shorts, tennis shorts, bathing suits, tank tops, T-shirts and
halter tops are not suitable attire on the Golf Course or in the Clubhouse.
Footwear –Men and ladies may wear open toed shoes and sandals in the Bar,
Clubhouse and Porch areas of the Club. Ladies may wear dress sandals in the
Members must remove their hats when entering the Dining Room, Grille Room or
Bar areas in the Clubhouse with the exception of ladies who are allowed to
wear hats in the Dining Room, Grille Room and Bar during lunch.
Dining Room and Clubhouse:
Bar and Grille Room: Casual and golf attire are permissible
Dining Rooms: Casual and golf attire are permissible during
lunch. In the evening men should wear pants and collared shirts and ladies
should dress appropriately.
All changes of attire and shoes should be made in the locker rooms.
Men: Slacks or full-length shorts (no more than 4 inches above the knee)
Cargo shorts and T-shirts are not suitable attire. Shirts must be collared and
tucked in at all times. All hats must be worn correctly.
Women: Skirts, shorts and skorts (no more than 4 inches above the knee).
Golf shirts must have a collar or sleeves or both a collar and sleeves.
