Vineyard Golf Club Foundation News
In the Fall of 2007 the Foundation issued a 5-year $50,000 Challenge Grant to the Edgartown Library Foundation to assist them in their Capital Campaign Program for the new library. Individual contributions of $2,000 or less up to $10,000 per year are matched dollar-for-dollar as an effort to encourage support from the year-round community of Martha's Vineyard. To date the Library has received a total of $20,000 for 2008 and 2009.

Foundation Donations
Each Member annually contributes $500 to the Vineyard Golf Club Foundation. These funds are distributed among various chosen charities and organizations. Some of the recipients of donations from the Foundation during 2009 were:

"The Clubhouse" and "The Last Foursome"

Ray Ellis, our world renowned local artist and Honorary Member, has done two paintings for our Scholarship Program. The originals are hanging in the atrium of our Clubhouse. A framed print of "The Last Foursome" is across from the Shoe Room and prints of both paintings are available here at the Club.
Ray has done a limited edition of 300 signed prints and 30 artist's proofs and will add a remarque to only 30 prints. A donation of $500 will be acknowledged by one of the 300 prints. A $1,000 donation will be acknowledged by one of the 30 artist's proofs. For a donation of $1,500 you may have a remarque drawn on either print. Some framed prints are also available.
We benefit in many ways from participation. We get a limited edition Ray Ellis print of our course, we make a charitable contribution and we create a further incentive for our local young people to become part of our integral caddie corps or golf operations.
